Life in the World of a Band Geek: May 2009

so as of the other week.... i don't know the exact date.... at the band concert the new drum major was announced. and i would ask for a drum roll but if your smart... and i think you all are... you would know that i wouldn't be writing this post if the new drum major wasn't ME!!!!

so as the days continued way too slowly...

the solo recital/awards banquet was the next week. i think. it was again announced that i am the new DM.

finally, at the end of a long march through town in the memorial day parade the baton was passed from the previous dm to the new dm. me!!!

and as long as i'm writing this i will tell a tiny bit of the homecoming show for next fall.

we will be playing

star wars main theme

and

the imperial march (vaders theme)

so i'm pretty stoked to be leading this way cool sweet awesome show!!!

there are a lot of things being considered to add to the coolity of the show.

most aren't for sure. but i can tell you a few things. this is confidential.

we aren't using the stuffy, old, hot, stinky, and unfitting uniforms. we will be making jedi robes!
